More than 200 culers from Maresme region met on Monday 2 March, at 7 pm, at Mataró’s Ateneu de la Fundació Iluro, to follow the presentation of Sí al futur, the project led by Víctor Font that wants to offer a new proposal to FC Barcelona members when elections for the presidency of the Club are called. Víctor Font explained the main points of the project in a conversation with the journalist Antoni Bassas and then the attending public were able to express their concerns and opinions.
In addition to discussing all the sports news, dominated by El Clásico, other issues were discussed, such as the revolution needed in the Club's management model in order to improve decision-making, based on the search for talent; the concerns about the financing of the Espai Barça; or the introduction of electronic voting.
Before the presentation began, the Barça supporters who attended the event had the opportunity to take photos with an exact reproduction of the Champions League trophy, as well as two shirts by two legendary Barça players: Johan Cruyff's shirt worn on August 25th, 1974, from the VI Trofeu Ciutat de Mallorca, against FK Austria Wien and Marcial Pina’s, worn on the UEFA Cup semifinal against Liverpool in Anfield, on April 14th, 1976. The collector Miquel Tejero donated all these items. In addition, at the end of the event, those who wanted to know more about Victor Font and to better understand the key points of Sí al futur bought a copy of the book written by the journalist Antoni Bassas Construïm junts el Barça del futur, published in Catalan by Columna. The bookshop “Buc de Llibres” made this possible by installing a point of sale there.
