You can see Ramon Cugat’s presentation here

Ramon Cugat was presented, at a midday press conference this Monday, as a member of the Sí al futur(“Yes to the Future” in Catalan) project led by Víctor Font.

Born in the village of L’Aldea, Catalonia, in 1950 and an FC Barcelona member (number 18905), Ramon Cugat will form part of the Board of Directors and will contribute to any strategic decisions that it makes on medical matters, and to the new psychology and performance area. If Víctor Font is elected President of FC Barcelona, Ramon Cugat will also act as an advisor on any sporting and institutional issues on which he can bring his experience to bear.

A world-renowned expert, Dr Cugat specialises in trauma and orthopaedics. He is considered an authority in the field of sports medicine, and is a staff doctor in the Catalan Footballers’ Mutual Society (MFC) and in the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). He has operated on thousands of footballers playing at every level. One of the most recent players he has performed surgery on was the Barça player Ansu Fati, on Monday 9 November. He has also treated Club legends, such as Pep Guardiola, Xavi Hernández, Carles Puyol, Andrés Iniesta, Samuel Eto'o and Cesc Fábregas.

Ramon Cugat was a pioneer of arthroscopic operations in Spain, and was a member of the team of orthopaedic surgeons at the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992.
